About fivesevenfive

Changs in 1475Fivesevenfive is a natural extension of the classic haiku style, brought about by the international Shogun of Mystery, Johnny Changs. Not much is known about the enigmatic Changs, save for his verbal exploits collected in the 14th century tome, "Hojo Dojo: Orange Roof, Fall of Empire, Tranquility and Roasted Chicken." Changs is also suspected of possessing the sandals of "never death," and is a renowned bee-keeper.

The "Honorable Changs Style" haiku is fairly straight forward: five syllables, seven syllables, five syllables. Those who break these simple rules were often eviscerated, and many times stuffed full of fireworks and sent into the night sky.

Many have followed the footsteps of the Changs School, but few have mastered his ways (and none can speak to the owls with Changs' aptitude). Do you accept the challenge?
